Overview

The site uses a GPS Track file, converted to, preferably, GPX or OziExplorer format to display a GPS route e.g. walking, cycling etc. using Google Maps™, apart from the purchase of a data cable all the software used is free ware. The output includes some statistical information, such as distance, minimum and maximum heights, plus an altitude profile. 

There is a modest fee for the full service, the differences are:-

Usage

A track file in GPX or OziExplorer format is required.

Most GPS programs have the ability to save a track in these formats. Should yours not have this option then try the excellent free ware program GPS TrackMaker. Alternatively to just change the format of the track file try GPS Babel, also free ware.

Photographs can be uploaded, usually by storing a way point when a photograph is taken.  Once the photographs have been uploaded clicking on a marker, at the relevant location, will display all the photographs taken there.
